From Tiruppur, India.

Q1. How did your career journey start? Or Who/What inspired you to start this Art Journey?

Influenced by my grandmother’s creative handwork and greatly inspired by my school art teacher, I began my journey at a young age in Mumbai. Throughout my childhood, art proved to be a constant source of self-expression, which drew me closer and closer to it. After a distinguished career as a Lawyer for over 25 years, I pursued my lifelong passion - Art.

Q2. Kindly share some information about your Arts, products, and services here.

I work as an artist and art educator. My work profile includes Pencil Sketching, Charcoal Sketching, Oil Painting, Watercolor Painting, Kerala Murals (inclusive of 3D mural painting), Warli, Madhubani, amongst others. Aside from teaching and conducting workshops regularly for beginner and intermediate levels, I also take on commissioned artwork projects.

Q3. What kind of challenges did you face while starting/doing your arts?

Sometimes when the passion is so much the challenges seem less like a challenge and more like a thrilling experience. For me, this journey felt like getting onto a running bus, driven by a determination to give my all to it.

Q4. Are you an Art Entrepreneur?

In a way, yes. I do commission artwork and I have created a unique niche for myself over the years. I constantly look to innovate and create through my art.

Q5. Do share with our readers about your discovery period when you were facing difficulties?

The switch between offline and online classes was a challenging transition, but it also happened so gradually and smoothly that it felt like a very natural next step. It was a steep learning curve, but it also gave way to many new opportunities that I did not anticipate. Change is the only constant thing in life. Change is challenging but every change, every experience makes you rediscover yourself. So always be open to new experiences.

Q6. Share with our readers about your experiment period after the discovery period?

I tried various formats of online classes over the past 2 years. Try till you succeed, right? Now I believe I have reached an equilibrium and have successfully created a modular format that allows for a seamless learning experience for students. As an artist, the experimentation continues, and this cyclic process gives new sources of inspiration.

Q7. How have you empowered other people?

The power of art is truly unique and introspective. Therefore, I encourage people to explore themselves through art. Over the past years, I have seen lives change, vivaciousness bloom, and people leave my workshops understanding themselves a little better, discovering new facets to their personalities.

Q8. What are your future plans? Or now what is your vision for next five years?

Once the pandemic is over, I would like to travel across the globe and spread the joy of art. I hope to take our country’s rich traditional arts all over the world and spread the understanding of our cultural heritage.

Q9. What would you advise/suggest new artists/entrepreneurs who want to start & sustain?

Be bold. Keep expanding. Keep innovating. As an artist, you must feel, communicate and create impact. Stay positive and exude that positivity. Don’t shy away from new experiences. Fully commit to your art and dive deep into it.
